Couple of ideas that could help create more individualization of Vi and better tuned training plans.
1. Before the first session with Vi gather a bit more information over the basics. Ask about things like injury, hips, knees, ankles, feet.
During runs monitor for changes in cadence, speed etc., and after the run ask the person to go to their account and put in why these changes occurred.
For example, lets say that a person had put in they had a knee injury 10 years ago. They were on a run and went from a consistent pace down to a slow walk, you could ask - Was the reason for the change from run to walk due to a knee problem or was the run too hard, too fast, too long etc.
This will give more data that can influence the next runs / set of runs that are proposed.
2. Allow for the resumption of a run.
If for some reason a run has to be abandoned allow for that run to be picked up and completed.
